The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sought help from citizens to identify foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan. A toll-free number, 1700, has been issued for informants. According to media reports, officials have urged the public to do their duty to identify illegal aliens, with a voluntary evacuation deadline set for October 31, 2023. In a separate development, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the Afghan Interim Government has taken the decision to return illegal immigrants in accordance with the law. Baloch said that Pakistan is in full communication with the Afghan authorities and that the decision was taken for the sake of Pakistan's security and economy. She further said that Dost Malik has requested to take the Afghan citizens to their country and that they will be sent after the clearance of the Ministry of Interior.
