Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has taken serious notice of the killing of prominent religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Idrees in a firing incident in Charsadda and strongly condemned the attack. The Chief Minister has sought a report from police authorities regarding the incident. Expressing deep sorrow, Sohail Afridi said the martyrdom of Maulana Muhammad Idrees is tragic, adding that they stand with the bereaved family in this difficult time. 

He also prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and for patience and strength for the family. The Chief Minister directed authorities to provide immediate and the best possible medical treatment to police personnel injured in the incident. “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Maulana Muhammad Idrees’ martyrdom,” he said, adding that the entire nation stands with the grieving family in their time of loss.
