The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has stopped the payment of double allowances to government employees. A notification issued by the caretaker government said that employees serving in the Civil Secretariat on deputation will either get Secretariat Performance Allowance or they can get the facility of deputation allowance.

The provincial finance department also took notice of the payment of MPhil allowance to MS degree holders and ordered to stop it. It said that MPhil allowance should be paid only to MP degree holders, MS or any other degree holders cannot be given. The Finance Department also issued strict recovery instructions to the employees who received the above allowances wrongly.
