To ensure tourist safety and strengthen regulatory oversight in the scenic Kaghan Valley, the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) carried out a detailed inspection of rafting sites and zip line facilities on the instructions of Director General Rehmat Ali.
According to official sources, the inspection was conducted by KDA technical staff as part of ongoing efforts aligned with the public service agenda of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, focusing on good governance, improved district service delivery, and citizen-friendly initiatives. During the visit, the inspection team thoroughly examined various adventure tourism points, including rafting zones and zip line installations.
Officials reviewed compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the authority and assessed whether safety guidelines were being properly implemented by operators. The inspection covered multiple aspects of tourist safety, including the condition and availability of life jackets, protective gear, operational safety equipment, and the overall preparedness and training level of on-site staff managing adventure activities.
Officials emphasized that strict adherence to safety protocols is essential to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure that tourists can enjoy recreational activities in a secure and well-managed environment. KDA staff also issued clear instructions to all concerned operators to fully comply with safety regulations without exception.
They stressed that the protection of human life remains the top priority and any negligence in implementing safety measures will not be tolerated. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all tourism-related activities across the valley and ensuring a safe experience for both local and foreign visitors visiting Kaghan’s adventure tourism sites.
