District Ameer of Jamiat Ulema e Islam (JUI-F) South Waziristan, Maulana Abdullah Wazir on Monday narrowly escaped in improvised explosive device (IED) explosion. According to details, the blast took place in Kalosha area of South Waziristan near vehicle of the JUI-F leader when he was present in it. The vehicle was partially damaged in the IED blast; however, Maulana Abdullah Wazir remained safe. Heavy contingent of police reached the scene of the explosion. It should be mentioned here that the JUI-F’s former District Ameer Maulana Mirza Jan was shot dead by unidentified culprits last month after which Maulana Abdullah Wazir was appointed district ameer in his place.
