A poor man set his own house on fire in Takht-i-Bahi, Mardan due to which all household items were gutted; however, thankfully no human life was lost in the incident, police said on Wednesday. Janullah, father of four, resident of Qudratabad Maidan Town, a suburban area of Takht-i-Bahi, who had been jobless for years, set fire to his own house. And although residents of the area and firefighters of Rescue 1122, who soon reached the site, did their best to douse the flames, but since the fire was intense, it soon engulfed the entire house. The man’s wife and kids rushed to their neighbour’s home to save their lives.
