The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) faction led by Yasin Malik has announced a three-day conference in Birmingham, United Kingdom, beginning May 30, marking the group’s founding day, according to an official statement released here.JKLF-Y acting Chairman, Raja Muzaffar said a steering committee comprising founding leaders based in the UK had called the conference as part of efforts to bring all JKLF factions onto a single platform under Malik’s leadership.
He said the initiative reflected the need for unity, clarity, and a unified direction within the movement, given the current political situation in Illegal Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). “Only one JKLF under the leadership of Yasin Malik represents the true need of the freedom movement,” Muzaffar said, adding that the effort aligned with the expectations of party workers and supporters. He expressed confidence that the initiative would lead to positive developments, adding the supporters would “hear good news in the near future.
Muzaffar described Malik as the most trusted leader of the group and said the planned conference aimed to strengthen organisational unity at a critical juncture. The conference will focus on ending internal divisions and reinforcing a collective political approach within the JKLF. He added that the three-day event in Birmingham would be organised by a UK-based steering committee of founding members and was intended to consolidate all factions under a single leadership framework.
