Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader has announced a Gaza March in Rawalpindi following the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The event will culminate with a funeral prayer in absentia. According to JI Islamabad spokesperson Aamir Baloch, the Gaza March will take place on Liaquat Road, Rawalpindi. The march and the funeral prayer for Haniyeh, who was reportedly killed in a targeted attack by Israel, will be held after Maghrib prayers today. In a press conference, the JI leader expressed deep condolences on behalf of the entire Muslim community, condemning the killing of Haniyeh and 70 of his family members. He emphasized that such acts of terrorism will not deter the freedom struggle, noting that over 92,000 people have been martyred in Gaza, including several leaders. The JI leader further announced that August 3 will be observed as "Palestinian Prisoners' Day." He condemned the United States and other Western powers for supporting Israel's actions, accusing them of complicity in the ongoing violence. It was reported that Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated alongside his guard in Tehran, Iran, during an attack last night.
