Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has declared its intent to initiate a protest campaign commencing from February 23, aimed at addressing purported rigging during the recent general elections. According to spokesperson Qaiser Sharif, the party vows to employ all constitutional and democratic channels to shed light on election discrepancies. The campaign will kick off in Peshawar on February 23rd, spearheaded by Sirajul Haque. Sharif disclosed plans for a democracy preservation conference scheduled for February 25th in Islamabad. Key demands include the resignation of the Election Commissioner and the formation of a High Judicial Commission to conduct a comprehensive audit of the election process.

The party asserts an unwavering commitment to safeguarding people's rights. Expressing discontent with the caretaker government and Election Commission, Sharif criticized their perceived failure in fulfilling responsibilities. He lamented the prevalence of institutional interference and accused major political parties of prioritizing personal gain over national interest. Highlighting public discontent, Sharif emphasized a desire for political stability and Pakistan's prosperity. Independent media and institutions have echoed concerns regarding the February 8th elections. Jamaat-e-Islami's announcement signals a fervent push for electoral accountability and transparency in Pakistan.
