A prestigious ceremony titled “Jashn-e-Marka-e-Haq” was held at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Friday,where Pakistan Army’s 15 Division General Officer Commanding (GOC) Sajid Amin attended as the chief guest. In his address,Major General Sajid Amin said Pakistan came into existence after immense sacrifices, adding that the nation must remain mindful of the struggles made by forefathers during migration and the creation of the country.
He urged students to uphold the positive image of Pakistan,particularly on social media and remain vigilant against propaganda and information warfare,stressing the importance of digital responsibility in the modern age. The GOC also highlighted the role of women in islam and their growing contribution to national development,noting that women were now excelling in various professional fields alongside men.
He encouraged students to focus on education and knowledge,saying it was essential for building a stronger future generation. He further praised the achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the “Battle of Truth,” and congratulated the nation on their sacrifices and success. During the ceremony,students presented national songs and poetry of Allama Iqbal, which were widely appreciated by the chief guest. Books were also distributed among students as a gesture of encouragement.
