Jamat-e-Islami IIOJK played historic role to keep Kashmir issue alive: SafiBreaking

The convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) AJK Chapter, Ghulam Mohammad Safi has said that thousands of people associated with Jamat-e-Islami of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have made previous sacrifices of their lives and continued the struggle for freedom of Kashmir from Indian occupation. Ghulam Mohammad Safi in a statement released here on Wednesday said that India on at gunpoint is forcing Jamat-e-Islami's imprisoned leaders to change their historical position on Kashmir. That is very worrying, regrettable and speaks loudly about nefarious Indian designs, he added. Safi appealed to Jamat-e-Islami leaders not to take any decision that would affect the reputation of the Jamat and dishearten people of Kashmir, besides increase internal chaos or justify the unconstitutional terrorist acts of August 2019 by the Modi government. He said the oppressed but determined people of Kashmir will not accepted any Indian trick that pass message of disappointment.

APHC Convener said that the history of the world is witness that the movements of self-determination are pride of the nations who strived with valor. Nations are freed from foreign colonial rule and Afghanistan and Palestine have revived this historical fact that it is not the power of arms but the power of faith, he added. He said that despite the unfavorable conditions in Gaza and other parts of Palestine are source of inspiration for people under foreign rule. Persistence and sacrifices of the Palestinian people, resulted in defeat of Israeli colonialism on the moral and diplomatic front, Safi said. APHC leader said that the remedy to actions of fascist Modi is resistance of Kashmir people, adding that the government of Pakistan is continuing to fully support the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris for the right to self-determination. Safi appealed to the international community to play its effective role in to give liberation to innocent Kashmiris from Indian rule.
