In view of the law and order situation, the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad was closed for traffic from Zero Point to Serena Hotel in both directions on Monday for an indefinite time period. According to the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), in light of law and order considerations, the Srinagar Highway has been sealed and all other routes leading to and exiting from the federal capital’s Red Zone would remain open.

Motorists coming from Faizabad were directed to use Jinnah Avenue to reach the Red Zone, while those heading from Club Road to Aabpara Market and Red Zone were directed to use Margalla Road for the purpose. Similarly, motorists coming from Bhara Kahu were asked to use Club Road and Faizabad Expressway, while those heading from Aabpara to Bhara Kahu were directed to use the Shakarparrian Road.  For further information, citizens are advised to contact the ITP helpline at 1915 or follow Islamabad Traffic Police’s official social media platforms.
