Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two police employees in connection with the murder of their colleague, Naseer, a class four chowkidar. The accused, Muhammad Irshad and Shah Nawaz, allegedly shot and killed Naseer over a financial dispute. According to the preliminary investigation, Irshad and Nawaz had borrowed money from Naseer and were unable to repay it. After repeated failed attempts to retrieve the money, the accused hatched a plan to eliminate their debt. On the day of the murder, Irshad and Nawaz called Naseer to a secluded spot in the Rawat area. There, they confronted him about the outstanding debt and demanded immediate payment. When Naseer refused to comply, the accused shot him dead. The Rawat police immediately launched an investigation into the murder and quickly identified Irshad and Nawaz as the main suspects. Both men were arrested and charged with murder.
SP President Muhammad Nabil Ghokhar expressed his dismay over the incident, stating that it was "sad" that a police employee would murder his own colleague over a small amount of money. He vowed that the accused would be brought to justice and punished to the fullest extent of the law. The tragic death of Naseer has sent shockwaves through the Islamabad police department. His colleagues are struggling to come to terms with the senseless killing and are demanding swift action against the perpetrators. This case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can arise from financial disputes. It is important to always seek legal recourse when faced with such situations, as resorting to violence will only lead to tragic consequences.
