Islamabad police cracks down on drug peddlers, arrests 26Breaking

Islamabad police have arrested 26 drug peddlers from different areas of the city, including those involved in supplying drugs at educational institutions. The crackdown was carried out in the last 48 hours following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. According to police, the police teams recovered 8,550 grams of hashish and 4,983 grams of heroin from the possession of the arrested suspects. The accused were arrested from Margalla, Karachi Company, Shalimar, Ramna, Golra, Sumbal, Industrial Area, Tarnol, Sangjani, Sabzi Mandi, Koral, Kirpa, Sihala, Lohi Bher, Phulgran, Nilore, and Shahzad Town.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has directed all senior officials to continue the crackdown against drug peddlers and ensure that the menace of drugs is eliminated from the city. He said that no one would be allowed to play with the precious lives of the young generation.The police have also registered cases against the arrested suspects and are further investigating the matter. The crackdown against drug peddlers is a welcome development. It is important to keep our youth safe from the harmful effects of drugs. I hope that the police will continue to take strict action against drug peddlers and make our city a drug-free zone.
