Islamabad court issues arrest warrants for PTI’s Asad QaiserBreaking

Issuing arrest warrants for PTI stalwart and former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser in the Judicial Complex attack case, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday ordered the police to arrest him and produce him before the court.

ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, who heard the case, also granted an exemption to PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, party leader Shibli Faraz and Asad Umar from appearance in the court today.

Sardar Muhammad Razzaq Advocate, counsel for Parvez Elahi, appeared in the court, while Sardar Muhammad Masroof Khan, Amina Ali and others represented other PTI leaders. Later, the court adjourned the case’s hearing until October 6.   A case had been registered against the PTI leaders at the CTD station.
