Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni visited the Pakistan Monument during his official visit to Pakistan, where he was received by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry.  A smartly turned-out contingent of the Federal Constabulary presented a guard of honour to the visiting minister upon his arrival.  During the visit, Momeni laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial, offered prayers, and paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan's fallen heroes, praising their invaluable services. 

The Iranian minister was also briefed on the historical significance of the Pakistan Monument. He appreciated the national and historical importance of both the monument and the Martyrs' Memorial, and viewed Islamabad city and the Margalla Hills from the Shakarparian viewpoint.  Inspector General of the Federal Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara, the Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
