Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has sought detailed report from FIA regarding probes against boat incidents in Libya and Greece in which number of Pakistan youth were killed while trying to reach Europe illegally. Interior Minister has sought report regarding investigations about the incidents. On the occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed FIA that elements involved in human trafficking deserve no concession. Mohsin Naqvi further directed that strict action should be taken against the culprits who enticed youth to illegal business which often results in deaths and added insult to the country’s image. It is pertinent to mention that 209 Pakistanis were among those who lost their lives in the boat wreck off in Greece during June 2023. While, at least seven Pakistani nationals died as a boat drowned off the coast of Libya on February 26, 2023.
