Indian govt constantly undermining inte'l humanitarian law, basic  civil rights in IIOJK: Rehmani Breaking

November 21, 2025

Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has said that the oppressive Indian government is constantly undermining international humanitarian law and basic  civil rights, creating horrible conditions for the social and economic activities of the Kashmiris beyond one's imagination.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad condemned the house to house search and arrest of youth in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and illegally  confiscating dozens of private shops in the main district market of Bandipore, in the aftermath of the tragic Red Fort explosion followed by a blast in the Nowgam police station. He remarked that the explosion in Nowgam police station with the explosive ammonium brought by the authorities themselves from New Delhi had raised many concerns and questions over the role of the establishment in the territory and Delhi regime.

It was all the more conspicuous as the Indian police and army officers enjoyed fullest impunity in occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress the genuine demands of the public, he added.  Muhammad Farooq Rehmani appealed to the world community to take notice of the stepped up human rights atrocities and  curbs on freedom of press and platform and also the latest illegal seizure of shops in Bandipora and elsewhere in IIOJK to address the grievances of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
