The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that there are many similarities between the Kashmir and the Junagarh issues and India has illegally and oppressively occupied both the areas. According to Kashmir Media Service, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, in a meeting with Alia Dilawar Khanji, daughter of Nawab of Junagarh and former Governor of Sindh Nawab Dilawar Khanji, expressed his determination to raise his voice for the freedom of both the states from Indian occupation at every forum. 

Alia Khanji on the occasion said that India had illegally occupied the Jammu and Kashmir and the Junagarh through its occupying forces during the partition of the subcontinent. She said, “We will fight together for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir and the state of Junagadh from India’s usurping and oppressive occupation. We will also raise our voice for the freedom of Kashmir at every forum.” Alia Khanji invited the President of Azad Kashmir to visit Karachi and also presented the national emblem of the state of Junagadh to the President.
