November 04, 2024

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI founder Imran Khan would not make any deal come what may. While speaking to a private TV channel, Fawad Chaudhry stated that only four people knew about the plan to dissolve the assembly at the time of no-confidence motion. “Imran Khan, Arif Alvi, attorney general and Fawad Chaudhry were aware of the development to dissolve the assembly,” he said. He added that PTI founder met Qamar Javed Bajwa four days before the no-confidence motion. Imran Khan was told that issues would be managed for him, he added. Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI founder advised Gen Bajwa to hold elections after the assembly was dissolved. “The idea to dissolve the Punjab Assembly came from Shah Mahmood Qureshi,” Chaudhry revealed. He added that PML-N and PPP were ready to hold elections at that time.
