The district administration has intensified its crackdown on illegal mining and seized a mining machine operating unlawfully in Tarnawai, while arresting one person during the operation. According to officials, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Tariq, accompanied by the Assistant Director Surveillance of the Mines and Minerals Department, conducted a raid at Block-D, Tarnawai, after receiving reports of illegal mining.

During the inspection, a mining machine was found operating in an unauthorized area identified by the department. The main operator managed to flee the scene, while the helper was arrested and shifted to Mangl Police Station for legal action. The district administration reiterated its commitment to continue indiscriminate operations against illegal mining and warned that violations of the law would not be tolerated.

Officials also urged citizens to report illegal mining or other violations to the District Control Room Abbottabad through its 24-hour helpline and WhatsApp number.
