National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq called on Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam and discussed matters of mutual interest including Kashmir Day on August 5. During the meeting, the minister apprised the Speaker Ayaz Sadiq about the solidarity walk from Radio Pakistan to D-Chowk and other initiatives regarding Kashmir Exploitation Day on August 5, said a press release. They decided, in the meeting, to bring a resolution in the House on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day on August 5. Ayaz Sadiq said that on August 5, 2019, a heinous conspiracy was hatched by India to end the special status of India Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

He said that Pakistan had always highlighted the Kashmir issue in every regional and international forum, adding that peace in the South Asia region was not possible without resolving the Kashmir dispute. The speaker said the resolution of Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and UN resolutions is inevitable. He concluded that Pakistan would continue its parliamentary, diplomatic, moral and political support to the Kashmiri brothers and sisters to achieve their legitimate rights.
