IIOJK witnessing fresh surge in arbitrary arrests by Indian forces Breaking

June 13, 2026

Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) is witnessing a fresh surge in arbitrary arrests by Indian forces. According to Kashmir Media Service, arbitrary arrests are being used to intimidate pro-freedom Kashmiris and silence the voice of resistance in the occupied territory. Indian forces arrested Hurriyat leader Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi in a fresh raid in Sopore, Baramulla district.

Thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders and activists, remain jailed under black laws Public Safety Act (PSA) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). India continues to misuse anti-terror laws against ordinary Kashmiris as the Modi regime relies on draconian laws to prolong the detention of innocent Kashmiris.Arbitrary arrests of innocents is clear evidence of India’s state-terrorism in IIOJK and reflect New Delhi’s failure to suppress the Kashmir freedom movement.

India is hell bent on destroying all peaceful means of resolving the lingering Kashmir dispute and the Modi regime must be held accountable for the unlawful detention of Kashmiris.Arbitrary arrests and intimidation cannot silence Kashmiris’ demand for freedom and justice and they would continue their struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.
