In view of the fact that anti-terrorism court (ATC) judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain, who had sentenced former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan in the US cipher case, has gone on a two-month leave, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) wrote a letter to the Law Ministry for his replacement during the period of his leave. Sources said the IHC had written a letter for the appointment of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Ali Warraich in judge Zulqarnain’s place instead. Zulqarnain, who is also Official Secrets Act Court Judge, is on leave until April 26, 2024.
