Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq Friday expressed indignation over fixing cases other than urgent ones for hearing during summer vacations. The chief justice summoned the representative of the Registrar’s Office to the court. “There is an order to take up only urgent cases during summer vacations,” the chief justice said. “There is a clear order that only bail, stay order and emergency cases will be heard during the vacations,” he added. “How have the routine and supplementary cases been fixed for hearing?” he stated. “Tell the Registrar’s Office representative to appear before the court immediately,” he ordered the court staff.
