The Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Khan, inaugurated a modern command and control center in Kohat on Wednesday. The command and control center is equipped with LED screens linked to CCTV cameras installed throughout the city, a wireless communication system, and other facilities. The IGP inspected the center and witnessed the monitoring of internal and external checkpoints, various markets, and educational institutions in the city through the screens installed in the control center. He issued instructions to the authorities to keep an eye on the security of sensitive places and to remain on high alert to avert any untoward incident.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said that the main purpose of setting up the command and control center was to deal with street and other organized crimes in the city through a timely response and using modern technology and equipment. The IGP also said that the command and control center would help to improve the police's response time to emergencies and would also help to deter crime. The inauguration of the command and control center is a positive step towards improving the security situation in Kohat. The center is expected to play a vital role in preventing crime and ensuring the safety of the public.
