Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Dr Muhammad Amjad has said that company will ensure smooth and uninterrupted power supply during Ashura days for which elaborated arrangements have been made. In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that the company has also set up Monitoring Control Rooms at the bead office and all six Operation Circles and our field formations are maintaining close liaison with district administration, administrative committees and police. Dr Muhammad Amjad said that information has been obtained regarding Imam Bargahs locations and possible mourning procession routes. All electric wires and transformers located in procession routes have been upgraded and balanced.
To meet any emergency situation properly, additional transformers cables meter and other required materials have been provided to the field offices, he said. The CEO IESCO said that transformer trollies will also remain available with relevant complaint offices. Line staff with all instruments and equipment will also ensure their presence with main mourning procession. Team led by Chief Engineer Operations Muhammad Aslam Khan at central control room Islamabad will not only directly monitor electricity demand supply and power continuity position on 114 grid stations and 1344 feeders round the clock but also personally supervise all other activities.
