The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Wednesday issued a power suspension programme for Thursday in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.According to an IESCO spokesperson, power supply from the Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m in Pir Sohawa, khadrepar, Khanna Dak, Burma, Ghouri Garden, Shareefabad, Scheme-I, feeders.
In the GSO Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in areas served by the Azad Pattan feeder. Similarly, power supply will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in areas connected to Amin Abad, GBHP-1, DEC, Bagh-e-Nelab, People Colony and Marri feeders.The spokesperson said power interruptions would also occur due to maintenance work on the 132-kV New Wah–POF transmission line along with related earth switches from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Likewise, electricity supply may remain affected in areas linked to the 132-kV Chakwal–Bhagwal–Talagang, 132-kV Kahuta City–Palandri and 132-kV New Wah–Bahtermore transmission lines, where maintenance work will continue from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. IESCO management apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers and said power supply could be restored earlier than the announced schedule if maintenance work is completed ahead of time.
