The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration officials sprang into action during the recent rains, ensuring smooth drainage and monitoring potential flood zones. “Drainage work has been completed across various areas and roads in the Federal Capital,” said the spokesman of ICT administration. During the rain, Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates were on the ground, overseeing the situation, he added. Teams from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) also working diligently. They used dewatering pumps to clear water from different areas. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, emphasized the strict monitoring of all drains to prevent any flooding. The ICT administration teams reached all low-lying areas, ensuring proper drainage. The DC informed that despite ongoing highway construction, the traffic flow had remained unaffected.
