ICP arrest 10 outlaws including professional beggars, recover arms, drugsBreaking

The Islamabad Capital Police (ICP) arrested 10 outlaws including two professional beggars from different areas of the city during 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession. A public relations officer on Wednesday said that responding to the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements to eliminate crime from the city. The Sumbal police team arrested an accused namely Ismail and recovered one dagger from his possession. The Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Zahir Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Likewise, the Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Shan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Koral police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Imran and Fazal Ur Rehman and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession.

Similarly, the Humak police team arrested two accused namely Sami Ullah and Munsaf Khan and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. The LohiBher police team arrested an accused namely Asad Mehmood and recovered 732 gram heroin from his possession. While separate cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During the crackdown against professional beggars, police teams arrested two professional beggars and registered cases against them under the Beggars Act. Senior police officers directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
