The Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan on Thursday announced shutting down its manufacturing plant for a week due to the stock shortage. The company has informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange about the one-week closure of its plant by writing a letter. “There are shortages of raw materials and problems in the supply chain,” the text of the letter reads. “Production is affected by the inventory and spare parts shortages,” it adds. “It is becoming difficult to continue production in the current situation,” it states. “The Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan manufacturing plant will remain closed from October 24 to October 31,” it adds. The temporary closure of the plant reflects the broader issues faced by the automotive industry, both at local and global levels.
