The federal government has directed the House Building Finance Company Limited (HBFC) management to complete all necessary work by December 15, 2023, for the privatization of the company. According to media reports, the directive came in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Privatization, Fawad Hasan Fawad, in which the management of HBFC participated.The meeting discussed the determination of the fair value of the assets of HBFC, which is being done in consultation with the financial advisor to the HBFC management and the Secretary Privatization Commission. The minister directed the HBFC management to complete all necessary work by December 15, 2023, so that the privatization process can be completed expeditiously.
