Govt, security forces launch anti-narcotics operation across PakistanBreaking

The Govt of Pakistan, in collaboration with security forces, has initiated an anti-narcotics operation aimed at curbing drug trafficking and apprehending offenders. During the course of this operation, authorities have seized a very large quantity of narcotics totaling 1,024,399 kg from various regions across the country. Additionally, a total of 1,244 drug dealers have been arrested, signaling a significant blow to the illegal drug trade. Recent figures from April 7th to 14th reveal notable seizures in different provinces. In Balochistan, 651 kilograms of drugs were intercepted, while smaller quantities were confiscated in Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, and Sindh. The seized narcotics include 6 kilograms of heroin, 538 kilograms of hashish, 276 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 47 kilograms of opium. In Balochistan, 376 kg of hashish and 275 kg of meth were recovered, and in Gilgit-Baltistan, 67 kg of hashish and 45 kg of meth were recovered. Furthermore, law enforcement agencies have made lots of arrests, with 19 individuals apprehended in Sindh alone, along with the confiscation of 95 kg of hashish.
