The federal government on Friday decided to appoint a new chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).For this purpose, the Cabinet Division has invited applications from the eligible candidates within 15 days. The chairman of OGRA will be appointed on the Professional Pay Scale for a period of four years.
The minimum education qualification for the post is a master's degree with 20 years of experience, and the age limit is 61 years. The extended tenure of Chairman OGRA Masoor Khan will expire on February 22, 2026. The four-year service of Chairman OGRA was completed on February 22, 2025, but later he was granted one year extension in his service.Masoor Khan was appointed as Chairman of OGRA during the tenure of the PTI government in February 2021.
