Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has welcomed the successful negotiations between the provincial government and the protest committee formed after the Ziarat tragedy, describing the outcome as a significant step toward peace and stability in the province. The Governor said that political dialogue and mutual understanding are more effective and credible means of resolving disputes than confrontation and conflict.
He praised the members of the government’s negotiation committee, leaders of various political parties, and especially the families of the martyrs for their patience, wisdom, and resilience during the process. Governor Jaffar Mandokhail expressed hope that, following the success of these talks, subsequent stages will also be completed smoothly. He commended the government’s decision to address the legitimate demands of the martyrs’ families and to tackle security concerns through consensus.

Under the agreed policy, the martyrs of the Ziarat tragedy will be officially recognized by the state, and their families will receive assistance, including educational arrangements for children, financial compensation, and other rights. In addition, several government buildings will be renamed in honor of the martyrs’ sacrifices.
A committee headed by the Provincial Minister for Revenue will also be established to address public concerns related to land and revenue matters. Governor Jaffar Mandokhail paid tribute to the negotiation committee members, political leaders, and the bereaved families of the martyrs for their steadfastness and high resolve. He noted that this development has paved the way for lasting peace, strengthened public confidence, and reinforced the democratic tradition of resolving disputes through consultation and consensus.
