The Government of Pakistan has decided to increase the number of Judges in the Supreme Court (SC) from 17 to 23. It reported in media, SC will be consisting of 23 judges including Chief Justice of Pakistan and the bill regarding the increment of number of judges from 17 to 23 will be presented in National Assembly on Nov 1 (Friday). It is noteworthy that Barrister Danyal Chaudhary of PML (N) has already presented the bill in a private proceeding. For the accension of the bill the duration of NA session which was supposed to end today (on Tuesday) has been extended till Friday. According to sources the amendments in practice and procedure act are also under discussion.
