Government crackdown against electricity theft continuesBreaking

Govt intensifying efforts to combat electricity theft, with a recent crackdown yielding significant results across the nation. According to figures from February 11th to 18th, effective actions against electricity theft have started showing positive effects. A total of Rs2.096 billion have been recovered, and 106 individuals were apprehended nationwide. Recoveries totaling Rs1.211 billion and the arrest of 57 individuals have been made in Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Multan. From Peshawar, Rs0.301 billion have been recovered, with 26 individuals arrested, while Rs0.022 billion have been recovered from newly added districts. Hyderabad and Sukkur together have contributed Rs0.485 billion to the recovered amount, with 23 individuals arrested from Sukkur. Rs0.077 billion have been recovered from Quetta. According to statistics from September 1st till now, a total of 44,730 individuals have been apprehended, and Rs75.166 billion rupees have been recovered. Government authorities are determined to continue the crackdown against electricity theft.
