A female matchmaker in Jhelum enticed a 23-year-old girl and sold her to a man in lieu of Rs90, 000, police reported on Thursday. Gulzar then kept raping the girl for days before selling her to another man named Mashooq for Rs150,000, who raped her with his friends. They disclosed that Fehmida, the matchmaker, asked the girl to accompany her to bazaar where she handed her over to Gulzar.In a complaint to the police, the victim girl has said that Fehmida befriended her mother and would visit her home.  Police, on the other hand, have said that the complaint has been received and that the DSP CIA will register the FIR after listening to the girl’s story.
