Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani has expressed commitment to protecting provincial rights, strengthening the federation and promoting balanced development across all regions. Addressing National Workshop Balochistan at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad , he said the Senate ensures that all provinces have an equal voice in the national decision making through parliamentary oversight, transparency and dialogue. 

The Chairman Senate emphasized that the youth of Balochistan are the greatest asset and equipping them with education, skills and opportunities within state institutions will empower them to become agents of peace, progress and national unity.  Highlighting the geostrategic importance of Balochistan for Pakistan's economic future and national security, Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the province's people, their culture, history and traditions are inseparable part of our national identity.

He emphasized that it is important that development opportunities and inclusion reach every corner of the province.Referring to Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan, he mentioned that this historic initiative launched in 2009 was designed to address longstanding political, economic and administrative concerns through democratic and constitutional means. He said education was accorded particular importance through scholarship programs and expansion of educational institutions aimed at nurturing talent and leadership from within the province.

He said Balochistan is richly endowed with natural resources and immense potential. Investment in infrastructure, trade, minerals and connectivity can uplift local communities, create employment opportunities and foster a sense of shared ownership in national progress.  He said Special Investment Facilitation Council provides an important platform for coordinated investments and facilitation.

The Senate Chairman said that projects such as Gwadar port, Reko Diq and CPEC related initiatives hold the promise of economic growth, capacity building and enhanced investor confidence. He said Pakistan's progress depends on individuals who respect diversity, uphold constitutional values and work within the democratic framework.
