The Election Commission of Gilgit-Baltistan has completed hearings on election objections and petitions related to seven constituencies and reserved its verdict. Chief Election Commissioner Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Shahbaz heard petitions related to electoral objections and requests for vote recounting in the seven constituencies before reserving the decision. The Election Commission has reserved its judgment, which is expected to be announced today, according to officials.
It is worth mentioning that following the elections held on June 7, the Election Commission had withheld the results of seven constituencies after unofficial and non-final results were announced. In GBA-19 Ghizer I, PPP candidate Syed Jalal Shah won the seat.
In GBA-3 Gilgit III, independent candidate Sohail Abbas was declared successful. In GBA-10 Skardu IV, PPP candidate Raja Nasir Ali Khan secured victory. In GBA-15 Diamer I, independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazeer was declared winner, while in GBA-5 Nagar I, PPP candidate Zulfiqar Ali Murad won the seat. The final situation regarding these constituencies will become clear after the Election Commission announces its reserved decision.
