Four robbers of an inter-provincial gang were killed in a police encounter in Race Course of Rawalpindi late on Thursday night. A spokesperson of Rawalpindi Police said that the police signaled to stop motorcycle riding culprits but they instead of stopping started firing and attempted to flee. In retaliatory firing of police, four members of inter-provincial robber gang including Sajid alias Gitto, Hassan, Muhammad Ali alias Beebo and Waseem were killed. The culprits had killed a Dubai returned citizen upon resistance during a robber some three days earlier. The police recovered snatched laptop of killed citizen Tassaruf Mehmood, arms and police uniforms from possession of the killed robbers. The killed robbers were involved in reki on airport and targeting foreign returned foreign nationals and had looted a Canada returned citizen few days earlier. The police spokesperson said that the culprits were involved in committing robberies in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other citizens. The bodies of killed robbers were shifted to hospital.
