As many as four lives were tragically lost and two others critically wounded in two catastrophic road accidents in Khairpur and Arifwala on Saturday.According to details, the first tragic incident occurred in the Theri area of Babarlu, Khairpur, when a speeding passenger coach struck two people who were crossing the road. Police stated that the coach was traveling from Punjab to Karachi.
Further the victims, later identified as Abdul Hameed Mughal and Saifullah Memon were killed instantly on the spot.Police teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the report and shifted the bodies of both victims to the local hospital. The driver of the coach, along with the vehicle, was taken into custody by authorities. Moreover, the second deadly road accident took place on Pakpattan Road in Arifwala, where a collision between a car and a tractor trolley resulted in two deaths and left two others critically injured.
The deceased were identified as Javed, 35, and Mohammad Ahmad, 20. Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene promptly and transported the dead and injured to the hospital. Rescue sources confirmed that the two injured individuals are in critical condition. Preliminary reports indicate that the accident occurred due to overspeeding, with the car crashing into the rear of the tractor trolley.
