Four people were seriously injured when a bridge collapsed in Mehar, Sindh on Thursday. According to details, those injured were travelling in a Chingchi rickshaw when the bridge came crashing down. The injured were shifted to a local hospital. The road link of several villages with Khairpur Nathan Shan and Mehar was also severed.

The bridge had been in a dilapidated condition since the floods of 2022 and despite repeated complaints by the locals, it was not repaired. Residents of the area have again appealed to the Sindh government to order the repair of the bridge.
