Four of a family including a couple and two daughter died and another injured when roof of dilapidated house collapsed in Syedwana area of Sargodha on Wednesday. Rescue sources said that due to overload of bricks placed at roof top, the roof suddenly came down burying the family members. Four family members including 35-year-old Muhammad Saleem, his wife Mehraf Fatima, two daughters Meena Fatima and Hareem Fatima died in the incident while another sustained critical injuries.

The rescue personnel reached the scene, pulled out the bodies and injured from debris and shifted them to DHQ Hospital and Niazi Medical Complex. An environment of grief and sorrow prevailed in the area due to sudden death of four family members.
