Former national cricket team captains Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq are set to perform Hajj this year, according to a social media post by well-known personality Fakhar Alam. In his message, Fakhar Alam stated that he will undertake the pilgrimage along with Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq, expressing gratitude and humility over the opportunity. He wrote, “Alhamdulillah I feel extremely humble and grateful that I am going to perform Hajj this year.”
Fakhar Alam further wrote, “May Allah Almighty accept our presence, grant us ease, and enable us to stand before the Kaaba with pure hearts.” After the message went viral on social media, cricket fans started sending good wishes and prayers for Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq. Meanwhile, the federal government has also issued a notification regarding the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. According to the notification, the Eid-ul-Azha holidays will be observed on May 26, 27, and 28.
