Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer directed Pasco to remain on high alert to keep its reserves safe during monsoon given the forecast of rains and floods. He said that all necessary measures should be taken to deal with any sudden calamity. Rana Tanveer reviewed food security measures in the wake of forecast of rains and floods as Monsoons rains lashed parts of cities across the country. The minister directed official to ensure effective measures on priority basis to secure Pasco's wheat reserves. The federal minister directed to form a coordinated strategy to protect all the warehouses of Pasco from rains. He said ensure special measures are taken to protect warehouses in low-lying areas from rainwater and urged coordinated teams to be formed under the supervision of all center in-charges.
