Five young boys lost their lives and a child injured in a tragic road accident on Canal Road in Lahore’s Harbanspura area early Saturday. According to the Rescue 1122 personnel, the accident occurred when a speeding car collided with a tree. Two pedestrians and three people travelling in the vehicle died as a result of the crash.

The deceased were identified as 15-year-old Muzammil, 18-year-old Noman, 20-year-old Abdul Rehman, 17-year-old Furqan and 19-year-old Junaid. Rescue personnel shifted the bodies and the injured child to Services Hospital. Initial findings suggested that excessive speed was the cause of the accident, according to Rescue 1122.
