Five members of Corolla dacoits gang killed in Karachi police encounterBreaking

Police in North Karachi on Wednesday have claimed to have shot dead five members of Corolla Gang of dacoits allegedly in an encounter. Giving details, SHO Sir Syed police station Shahid Taj has said that the dacoits, who came in a car, entered a house in 11-B in North Karachi and held the inmates hostage at gunpoint. They even subjected members of the family to torture, he further said, adding as soon as the cops arrived at the scene, the dacoits opened fire at them as well. Resultantly, the SHO added, the cops retaliated, resulting in the deaths of five intruders.

“The robbers appeared to be Afghan nationals,” he said. 4 dacoits injured in Super Highway encounter In yet another encounter in the port city, four dacoits were injured when they exchanged fire with the police in SITE area on the Super Highway. SP Sohrab Goth Chaudhry Sohail Faiz told media that the police reached the crime scene on the complaint of a citizen. “On seeing the cops, the dacoits resorted to firing,” he said, adding, “After a fierce encounter, police succeeded in arresting total seven suspects, including four injured ones. He said a motorcycle, four pistols and bullets were recovered from those taken into custody. “However, one outlaw managed to flee from the spot,” he revealed.
