Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the first phase of the Kharian-Islamabad Motorway project is expected to be completed next year. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a hospital in Sialkot, he expressed hope that the 205-billion-rupee Kharian-Islamabad Motorway project would be completed at the earliest and will bring significant benefits to the people of the city and surrounding areas. Khawaja Muhammad Asif said the government will also lay the foundation stone for a cardiac hospital in Sialkot, along with a 500-bed hospital, soon.
