An entire neighbourhood in Patrak Guldai Berkeley in Upper Dir was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in the area killing a man and injuring several others on Friday. The cause of the fire is not known yet. The local people managed to control the fire with the help of the volunteers of Al-Khidmat Foundation, but by then it was too late and the entire neighborhood, which consisted of 10 houses, was reduced into a pile of ashes. A mosque located in the area was also partially damaged. One person was killed and several others sustained injuries in the firefighting. The injured were shifted to a hospital.
